before

I'm finally painting my bedroom. Why is that I always come last? Lol. Actually, it has taken me this long (6 years?) to choose a color. Yes, that is how I am with paint. Wierd considering how uninhibited I am otherwise. Anyway - here is a before picture, including the vignettes in my room that inspired the color choice - a collage of my photography (our kids) and the display on top of our armoire which includes all the colors going into the room. The color we are using is called Village Square by Behr (wish that sample was bigger, oh and btw, this is my new friend). HOPEFULLY I'll have an after shot to show REAL soon. Like right after I finish painting the kids' bathroom (which has also taken 6 years to get right).

How exciting! I know, my room is ALWAYS the last to be taken care of. I am slowly getting it put together! I am excited to see the new color!

I've been struggling to find a similar color to paint my family room/kitchen. Every time I think I've figured it out, I've painted a test patch and then have been disappointed. I'm not very good at picking from paint samples, I'm afraid! I can't wait to see how yours turns out. I may copy you!

Oh bless you for giving the link to the Paint preview. I've made WAY too many trips to Home Depot to use the same tool on their screen there - but now I can look at it in my own setting, with the actual lighting I have to deal with which makes a huge difference. I'm also wanting to paint a bedroom and have been anguishing over color choice for MONTHS. Since mine happens to be 18 x 20 with 14 ft vaulted ceilings there is A LOT of wall to cover so I'm totally intimidated...yet also excited about giving it a whole new feel. Color has such a powerful influence on how we feel. Do you know THIS link?

What a LOVELY room...LOVE the black and whites and black shelf, the color on the walls looks fab! Great job, thanks for the top on the Behr workbook, exactly what I needed today! :-)
